In this volume, we publish five articles that discuss linguistic issues which include expressions relating to language politeness. We present an article that discusses politeness in virtual communication because all the time researchers have only focused on politeness in the context of oral communication. Then, in this volume (and number), we also present two articles that highlight expressions in Malay-Indonesian and also the linguistic phenomenon that is currently trending, namely the Alay language. The other two articles discuss language learning methods, namely methods similar to collaborative methods (referred to by them as Bari Culture) and mind mapping methods in language learning. We hope that readers with an interest in linguistic issues send their unpublished articles, either through this OJS system or via email listed in the Contact section.
